Congratulations

on your engagement! We can't wait to capture your exciting news!

LET'S GET STARTED…

PLANNING YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION!

PICKING THE RIGHT CLOTHES CAN BE HARD...

I think most of us girls understand having our entire wardrobe thrown onto our bed before walking out the door. Sometimes finding that perfect outfit is just plain difficult.

Below are some tips for what clothes will look best for your engagement session:

Snow Engagement Photos

Make Use of the Season

If it's -2 degrees you will want to dress for the weather... Picking out clothing that goes with the current season is always a good idea! Side note: whether it is spring or fall, layers tend to look fabulous on camera!

Go Neutral Colors and Add in a Pop of Color

Consider wearing neutral colors (I.E. white, black, navy, white, tan, brown, etc.) with a single item that has a pop of color.

Coordinate Your Colors Without Matching

Matching is great but sometimes overrated. Picking colors that are in the same "color family" will look great together but won't leave you and your fiancé looking like paper cut outs.

Let Your Clothes Make You Feel Like You

At the end of the day, this photo is about YOU. So pull out that favorite outfit and lets showcase it!

Nails Count Too!

Wear nail polish that compliments your outfit! We're taking photos of the ring!

Classic Outfits ALWAYS Look Great!

Sometimes classic is best. A flattering dress shirt and slacks with a sheath dress or a-line skirt is hard to beat!

Flatter Your Body

Not every article of clothing was designed for your body shape. Picking the right piece can make you gain 10 pounds or help you to look like a super model.

Pear-Shaped Body: Show off your curves by cinching the waist with an A-line design that flares at the bottom.

Apple-Shaped: An A-line style with a gradual flow from the waist to the legs is always flattering.

Busty: Scoop necklines focus on the face rather than the bust.

Small Chest: Look for textured or ruched styles to create fullness in the chest area.

Curvy: Empire-waist dresses are super flattering and emphasize the smallest portion under the bust, creating the effect of a slender silhouette from top to bottom.

ENGAGEMENT PHOTO OUTFIT TIPS:

Choose your outfits ahead of time and plan out what you both are going to wear. That way you don’t feel rushed to find your outfits before walking out the door.

Make sure your outfits work for the season and location of your photos.

It's okay to express your personal style. The more beautiful and confident you feel the better your photos will turn out.

Consider asking your bestie for advice...or send us a snapshot. We will happily give you our opinion on which dress looks better!
